The Dravanian Scam: Ishgardians stunned to discover that inquisitor Guillaime has been impersonated by one of the harriers

Whitebrim Front is puzzled. After weeks of investigation, the speculation, controversy, and arguments are still at the peak. Inquisitor Guillaime, maybe the most damaging traitor in Ishgardian history, was finally caught red-handed after several years impersonating an inquisitor of the Holy See of Ishgard. After confessing his crimes, a task force leaded by Lord Drillemont hunted and killed Guillaime after he tried to resist the arrest.

WHITEBRIM FRONT, COERTHAS - Lord Drillemont de Laserrant says that the corpse of inquisitor Guillaime was found outside the walls of the city. Further investigation revealed that the inquisitor has been dead for a few years. How is that possible? Witnesses claim that inquisitor Guillaime was recently seen this morning walking around the streets of Whitebrim Front.

The lead investigator in this case, Lord Drillemont, said that he had doubts about Guillaime from the moment he walked in Whitebrim Front. However, while the inquisitor could have been a shady character for those who knew him better, the residents of Whitebrim Front never imagined that their beloved and respected inquisitor could be a heretic infiltrator of Dravania.

Although Lord Drillemont embraced some suspicious after several honorable Ishgardian citizen were prosecuted for false heresy charges, the prosecution began when a foreigner, an adventurer visiting Whitebrim Front found a corpse identical to inquisitor Guillaime buried in snow, outside the walls of the city. The body was found through a lead of Prunilla, the main witness in this case.

"By that time, I was convinced that Prunilla was lying. You would conclude the same, if you saw her in action." The adventurer said. It took time to get her declaration given some death threats that the inquisitor Guillaime himself made to her the night that he came to Whitebrim Front for the first time. That night, inquisitor Guillaime, Ser Joellaut, and Prunilla were the only survivors of a Dravanian raid. However, that was only half of the story, as Prunilla later told to the prosecution.

"When Ser Joellaut gave chase, I followed close-behind. He didn't fall -one of those Dravanian abominations lashed out at him, nearly killed him right then and there I drew my sword and rushed to his side straining to see... he... he knew things about me, about my family. Secrets I had never told another. He said that if  I kept his confidence, Ser Joellaut and I would be spared. But if I defied him, everyone I loved would suffer." Prunilla confessed.

Prunilla kept silence while several honorable Ishgardian were trialed and executed under heresy charges. The price that Whitebrim Front had to pay for her silence may chase her to the end of her days. Thorough all these executions, there hadn't been even a whiff of suspicion.

If you were a Dravanian spy, trying to conceal your intentions, what would be the best person to impersonate? Guillaime demostrated that no one expects the Ishgardian Inquisition.

"I knew I had something, but we did nothing about it. Now, it is too late" Lord Drillemont said.

"When at last I agreed to his terms, the man came forward. His robes marked him as an inquisitor, but I knew him to be false," Prunilla further explained, "together we carried Ser Joellaut to the infirmary and on his first night in Whitebrim Front."

I could give you a point-by-point analysis of what was wrong with the protocols after the Dravanian raid where real inquisitor Guillaime was killed, but that does not matter anymore. We have also been denied from access to that information "for security reasons." There are still many questions to answer until this day.

After Lord Drillemont review the evidence, he prepared a task force to arrest the false inquisitor. The suspect was located at Snowcloak. Inquisitor Guillaime was charged of heresy and treason. Guillaime had been, by that point, a Dravanian collaborator for nearly his entire time at Whitebrim Front. Dozens of Ishgardians were sentenced to death. When those charges were read by Lord Drillemont in front of inquisitor Guillaime, he denied the charges, alleging that those were baseless on the ground that he "cannot betray that which he owes no allegiance."

At that time, it was fairly clear that inquisitor Guillaime was a Dravanian agent. When Lord Drillemont tried to arrest him, Guillaime summoned draconic allies, and subsequently, when the Ishgardian forces were capable to overcome his allies, Guillaime transformed into a dragon to fight back. Officials say that Lord Drillemont's forces ultimately killed the impostor in self-defense.

The Ishgardian officers are currently in haze, trying to provide relief for the countless victims of the inquisitor Guillaime. Lord Drillemont himself encourages victims to seek aid and reparations from the authorities of Whitebrim Front.
